SmartMeds Telfast
Telfast is a fast-acting antihistamine that reduces the allergen-associated activity within the body, thus suppressing the irritating symptoms of allergy.

This service is temporarily unavailable. Please check back at a later date.

Telfast contains the active ingredient Fexofenadine which is a fast-acting antihistamine and blocks histamine receptors in the body so it can't reach its target cells and activate them. If histamine cannot activate the cells like it usually would, it decreases the body's reaction to allergens and therefore helps to suppress the irritating symptoms of allergy.

It is a non-drowsy prescription-only medication and rapid relief for hayfever other allergy symptoms, such as hives or itchy skin. Each tablet has a dosage of 120mg and contains fexofenadine hydrochloride (HCl) as its active ingredient. This active ingredient is a non-sedating antihistamine, so consumption of this medication will not exhibit any signs of drowsiness.
Take one 120mg tablet of Telfast daily before having a meal and with a glass of water. It takes about one hour for Telfast to begin to work. The maximum effects of Telfast are typically noticed six hours after first dose and its effects
can be expected to last up to 24 hours.

If a dose has been missed, do not take twice the amount when you remember, as you will give rise to a number of toxicity symptoms like:
  • dry mouth
  • drowsiness
  • dizziness
  • fatigue
If too many tablets have been consumed, you must seek medical consultation via your GP or nearest emergency facility.
