Priligy tablets contain the active ingredient Dapoxetine, which is a type of medicine known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It was the first therapy invented specifically for the treatment of premature ejaculation and has proven to be a very successful medicine in delaying ejaculation in males between the ages of eighteen and sixty-four.

Priligy works by increasing the activity of serotonin in the nervous system. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that is involved in passing messages between nerve cells. It has various functions in the body and is involved in sending the nerve messages that result in ejaculation.

Increasing the activity of serotonin in the nervous system helps to increase the time it takes to ejaculate and improve control over ejaculation. Studies have shown that men should experience a doubling or tripling of the times their erection lasts before ejaculation. Its effect can last up to three hours and in some cases even longer.

As well as physical, Priligy works to overcome the psychological issues related to premature ejaculation, such as low self-esteem, difficulty with personal relationships and lack of self-confidence. Some of the key benefits are:
  • Improvement in sex life. Research shows that more than 65% of men describe an improvement in their condition, after taking Priligy
  • Increased sexual satisfaction for both you and your partner
  • Achieving sexual fulfillment
Priligy tablets are taken with a full glass of water and swallowed whole, one to three hours before sex and can be taken with or without food, as this will not affect absorption. Priligy should not be taken with alcohol as it may increase the effects of the latter, resulting in reduced reaction time and increased tiredness.

Priligy is only licensed in men between the ages of eighteen and sixty-four who have had premature ejaculation for at least six months.

The recommended starting dose of Priligy is one 30mg tablet but if your condition does not improve after taking this dosage, you can be prescribed the 60mg dose.
